October 2014, PleaseTech Ltd conducted a survey at the Oracle OpenWorld
2014 Conference, held in San Francisco. The research set out to examine
document collaboration amongst Oracle users and their partners, and is a follow
on to the findings highlighted from the same conference the previous year.
How have things moved on? Last year we found that face to face meetings
and email were the predominant tools used to review documents, in
part due to a lack of understanding and awareness of what is possible.
That said, Oracle users had displayed a willingness to seek out alternative
solutions, in order to instill proper business processes to manage document
