PleaseErase is a server based MS Word 'meta data' scrubber which removes the data hidden in Word documents. PleaseErase detects and optionally removes tracked changes, Word comments, hidden text, standard and custom attributes.
why pleaseerase?
The problem of 'hidden data' in Word documents is now widely understood following several high profile cases where Word documents have been sent from Governmental bodies with hidden data which has caused political embarrassment. Commercial organizations which release Word documents with hidden data can suffer more than embarrassment - consequences can be a direct hit on the bottom line.
Whilst there are several client-based tools on the market which detect and remove metadata. The problem with these tools is twofold: (i) the fact that the tools are client-based causes a significant maintenance overhead for IT departments trying to control the corporate desktop, and; (ii) the tools themselves are not intuitive and are thus not used by the very people who require such data removal services.
PleaseErase is server based and thus maintained centrally. Designed to be provided as an Intranet resource or integrated as part of you're another application, PleaseErase provides 'two click' document cleaning which is simple, straight forward and effective. More advanced users can optionally view the data in the document and then select what to clean.
No training is required and central control and corporate policies can be applied via 'profiles'.
