PleaseReview is designed to directly support business processes which involve the review of documents, presentations and images. This page discusses the review of contracts within an organization.
The problem: You are negotiating a contract with another organization and they have sent you a Word document for review which needs to be examined by different people in your organization. Your job is to manage the review, gather the comments and consolidate a single set of comments which you then need to return to the other party.
The PleaseReview Solution: PleaseReview provides an interactive review portal on your intranet where there is a single definitive copy of the document, displayed in the browser (no downloads and uploads) onto which comments can be made, changes proposed and typos noted.
A PleaseReview review can contain not only the document under consideration but also, optionally, other relevant documents which may be identified as being for reference purposes only - in this case, perhaps a copy of a similar contract).
Review participants can be invited by automatically generated PleaseReview standard email or through another means. On entering the review, they can immediately see and reply to each other's comments. They can make their own comments, propose changes and note typos. They can 'watch' the review or a specific paragraph for new comments and replies.
PleaseReview manages the process automatically. At any time all participant's status in the review is available: who hasn't looked at the document; how many comments each reviewer has made; who has completed their review.
Using PleaseReview's proposed changes and discussion threads, revised clauses can be drafted and agreed, all on the portal, without everyone having to be at the same point in the space-time continuum. With its simple 'point & click' approach to review even the most keyboard phobic people will find PleaseReview easy to use.
You can even update PleaseReview with the results of a review meeting or conference call, or better still have the document live during the process and update it interactively. This ensures a single source of all comments and proposed revisions for ease of comment consolidation and for future reference purposes.
Finally you have two options to return the comments and proposed revisions to the other party.
If you want to return a Word document with your proposals shown as 'track changes' and Word comments, simply download the document from PleaseReview. You can even specify the name, initials, time and date which Word records for the tracked changes.
Alternatively, if you want to send an email or letter with the comments, PleaseReview provides you with a consolidated HTML report (complete with unique paragraph identifiers) which you can use as the basis or your communication.
PleaseReview directly supports the review of MS Word, PowerPoint, images and image collections. Other formats are supported at document level.
PleaseReview manages the process, takes care of the comment consolidation and provides a complete record of the review so that when the time comes to comment on the document again its easy to see details of the previous review.
