CEO and founder, PleaseTech ltd
David Cornwell founded PleaseTech in 2002. A business visionary and veteran of
the technology market, Dave’s entrepreneurial success began in 1994 when he
founded CDC Solutions, which became the acknowledged leader in the provision of
document publishing solutions to the Life Sciences industry (later acquired by Liquent
Inc., part of the Thomson Group).
Initially working in the oil, gas and
chemicals industry, Dave then worked for Kinesis Computing (subsequently
acquired by PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he led a series of business
development initiatives into the application of document and content management
Dave sees a vast untapped market for collaborative document, content and
communication development and review and believes that PleaseTech is ideally
positioned to capitalize on this opportunity. He is a regular contributor and
speaker on the technology and business conference circuits both in the U.S and
Dave is a Science and Engineering graduate of Imperial College, London and holds a
Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Bath.
CFO, PleaseTech ltd
Clare joined David Cornwell in setting up PleaseTech and as CFO she manages all
finance, legal and administrative responsibilities, ensuring that the company
has the organizational platform and financial strength to grow the business.
Clare is an experienced finance professional, having qualified as a chartered
accountant with Price Waterhouse in London in 1988. Previously working in
corporate treasury, capital markets and the life insurance industry, she joined
CDC Solutions as CFO in 1999.
In CDC Clare set up the company’s financial and administrative procedures,
overseeing and managing a growth in personnel from 15 to over 70 in less than
two years. She was also responsible for all financial and administrative set-up
and management of CDC's world-wide operations including the USA. The strong
financial control environment that she introduced, coupled with CDC’s innovative
product suite, enabled the company to benefit from £11 million venture capital
funding, before being sold to Liquent Inc., now part of the Thomson Group.
Clare is a graduate of Bristol University, with first class honours in
mathematics and has qualified as a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
CTO, PleaseTech ltd
Tim joined PleaseTech in December 2002. A highly capable and enthusiastic IT
professional and veteran of the document and knowledge management industry, Tim
has over 20 years’ experience in the development of enterprise solutions.
Prior to joining PleaseTech, Tim has led software product development teams and
gained experience of a wide breadth of technology, methodologies and
implementation techniques. Software is not only his job but also his passion.
As CTO of PleaseTech, Tim focuses on product architecture, development and
testing. His broad skills base in integration, scalability, security,
performance and resilience ensure that PleaseTech's products exceed
expectations. Tim is excited to be at the forefront of collaborative document
technology and is constantly driving innovation.
Tim is a graduate of Brunel University London where he earned a Bachelor of
Science degree, with honours, in Computer Science.
Vice President Sales, PleaseTech ltd
Barry Lyne joined PleaseTech in 2014 with responsibility for the company’s
global sales team. Barry brings to PleaseTech extensive leadership experience in
driving organizational and sales growth for software companies on an

Director and EMEA Sales Director for a number of global software companies.
Previously he also held senior sales management positions at Hewlett Packard.
His broad expertise has spanned high growth businesses within the document
management, broadcast, media and manufacturing sectors.
Barry is a graduate of Bradford University with a BEng. in Manufacturing
Integration Manager, PleaseTech ltd
Jason joined PleaseTech in October 2004 to assist the CTO
in the early phases of product development. Jason has over 20 years’ experience in the development and
implementation of computer solutions ranging from safety critical systems and
satellite systems right up to Internet scale web applications.
Prior to joining PleaseTech, Jason has led both IT operations and software
product development teams, gaining experience in technology as well as managing
that technology and providing it to businesses to solve real needs in both the
SMB and the Enterprise/Government markets.
As the Integration Manager of PleaseTech, Jason focuses on architecting and
engineering PleaseReview to work with major software platforms, assisting
technology partners to integrate with PleaseReview, and using his wealth of
enterprise experience to ensure that PleaseReview can be deployed into large
complex corporate environments.
Jason is a graduate of Southampton University where he earned a Bachelor of
Science degree, with honours, in Computer Science.
Client Services Manager, PleaseTech ltd
Nick is highly qualified as PleaseTech’s Client Services Manager where he
manages and provides technical support and professional services for
PleaseTech’s client base. In addition, he is responsible for maintaining the
company’s internal and external infrastructure to ensure PleaseReview customer
hosted and on-premise systems run smoothly and uninterrupted.
Nick has a deep knowledge of various IT services, including Enterprise Desktop
services and Microsoft Certified systems. He joined PleaseTech in 2012 as
Technical Manager having over fifteen years’ IT services experience, most
recently employed at CTS Retail as Head of Services.
Qualifications include MCITP, MCSA, CompTIA Security Plus and Novell Netware CNA 5.1.
Marketing Manager, PleaseTech ltd
Sarah manages marketing at PleaseTech. With responsibility to both generate
sales leads and enhance awareness of the Company’s products and services, she is
involved in a full range of marketing activities.
Before joining PleaseTech in 2010, Sarah worked as an independent marketing
consultant having previously spent fifteen years working for major international
brands including Sabre Holdings and Air France. These years of international
experience and managing pan-regional teams have given her a broad knowledge of
the many facets of marketing at both an international and local level.
Working with PleaseTech gives Sarah the opportunity to embrace new technologies
and implement a range of marketing techniques to effectively target specific
audiences and generate new business opportunities.
Sarah is an Honours graduate of Westminster University, London.
