david cornwell
CEO and founder, PleaseTech ltd
David Cornwell founded PleaseTech in 2002. A business visionary and veteran of
the technology market, Dave’s entrepreneurial success began in 1994 when he
founded CDC Solutions, which became the acknowledged leader in the provision of
document publishing solutions to the Life Sciences industry (later acquired by Liquent
Inc., part of the Thomson Group). Initially working in the oil, gas and
chemicals industry, Dave then worked for Kinesis Computing (subsequently
acquired by PricewaterhouseCoopers) where he led a series of business
development initiatives into the application of document and content management
technologies.
Dave sees a vast untapped market for collaborative document, content and
communication development and review and believes that PleaseTech is ideally
positioned to capitalize on this opportunity. He is a regular contributor and
speaker on the technology and business conference circuits both in the U.S and
Europe.
Dave is a Science & Engineering graduate of Imperial College, London and holds a
Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Bath.

CFO, PleaseTech ltd
Clare joined David Cornwell in setting up PleaseTech and as CFO she manages all
finance, legal and administrative responsibilities, ensuring that the company
has the organizational platform and financial strength to grow the business.
Clare is an experienced finance professional, having qualified as a chartered
accountant with Price Waterhouse in London in 1988. Previously working in
corporate treasury, capital markets and the life insurance industry, she joined
CDC Solutions as CFO in 1999.
In CDC Clare set up the company’s financial and administrative procedures,
overseeing and managing a growth in personnel from 15 to over 70 in less than
two years. She was also responsible for all financial and administrative set-up
and management of CDC's world-wide operations including the USA. The strong
financial control environment that she introduced, coupled with CDC’s innovative
product suite, enabled the company to benefit from £11 million venture capital
funding, before being sold to Liquent Inc., now part of the Thomson Group.
Clare is a graduate of Bristol University, with first class honours in
mathematics and has qualified as a member of the Association of Corporate Treasurers.
tim robinson
CTO, PleaseTech ltd
Tim joined PleaseTech in December 2002. A highly capable and enthusiastic IT
professional and veteran of the document and knowledge management industry, Tim
has over 20 years’ experience in the development of enterprise solutions.
Prior to joining PleaseTech, Tim has led software product development teams and
gained experience of a wide breadth of technology, methodologies and
implementation techniques. Software is not only his job but also his passion.
As CTO of PleaseTech, Tim focuses on product architecture, development and
testing. His broad skills base in integration, scalability, security,
performance and resilience ensure that PleaseTech's products exceed
expectations. Tim is excited to be at the forefront of collaborative document
technology and is constantly driving innovation.
Tim is a graduate of Brunel University London where he earned a Bachelor of
Science degree, with honours, in Computer Science.
